TRAVEL OVERVIEW

In this tour, we suggest the most popular and the most valuable Croatian sites. The concept of the trip includes transportation by tourist class bus and company by licenced English speaking tour guide for the whole trip. The guide will meet you at Zagreb airport and stay with the group by Dubrovnik airport. The accommodation is possible in 3* or 4* hotels on bed and breakfast basis according to the budget. This kind of the tour is ideal for all those who want to be guided and want to learn more about the past as well as about the present of this beautiful country. The price includes: transportation by tourist class bus according to the program, English speaking tour guide, local guides for city tours, hotel accommodation on BB basis, city tax. On request, we can include HB and / or lunch, dinner in local restaurants, wine and olive oil tastings, entrance tickets for the monuments / national parks and similar.

Day 1: ZAGREB AIRPORT arrival

Upon arrival contact the desk office of our partner car rental company and pick up the car

Drive to Zagreb city centre and check-in to the hotel

We suggest a city tour of Zagreb with a local guide (available on request) or on your own

Day 2: ZAGREB – PLITVICE

After breakfast in the hotel, drive to Plitvice lakes, the most beautiful Croatian national park known all over the world for its fascinating lakes, waterfalls and beautiful scenery

Day 3: PLITVICE – ROVINJ – POREČ – OPATIJA

After breakfast drive towards Istria and visit Rovinj, a coastal town situated on the romantic peninsula.

Continue towards Poreč, centre of tourism on the Istrian peninsula known for the famous Euphrasius basilica, a site under UNESCO’s protection

Day 4: OPATIJA - ZADAR

After breakfast drive towards Dalmatia

Visit Zadar, the famous destination on the Dalmatian coast. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the music of the Sea Organ and in the evening admire the lights of the Greeting to the Sun

Day 5: ZADAR – ŠIBENIK – TROGIR or SPLIT

Today you can explore Dalmatian historical towns, see the old historical downtowns and learn more about the history and cultural monuments.

Visit Mostar, the capital of Herzegovina, famous for the old bridge and oriental style architecture remaining from the Ottoman period.

Day 8: MOSTAR – STON – DUBROVNIK

Departure towards Croatian border

On the way to Dubrovnik, we suggest you to stop and visit Ston, an old town situated at the very beginning of Pelješac peninsula, known for oysters and mussels and a salt farm dating back to the times of Dubrovnik Republic. It is also famous for the longest city wall in Europe.
